Information You Provide Directly
- Account information: Email address and password when you create an account
- Health data: Peptide doses, injection logs, body weight, BMI, and other health metrics you enter in the app
- Protocol data: Your peptide protocols, dose schedules, and tracking preferences
- Support communications: Messages you send to our support team
Information Collected Automatically
- Device information: Device type, operating system version, app version
- Usage data: Features used, screens viewed, session duration (anonymized)
- Crash reports: Anonymized diagnostic data when the app crashes
- Purchase information: Subscription status (processed by Apple — we do not store payment details)
Information from Third Parties
- Apple Health: With your permission, we access health metrics you've chosen to sync (weight, BMI). We do not write to Apple Health without your explicit consent.
- Apple Sign In: If you use "Sign in with Apple," we receive a unique identifier and optional email address from Apple.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to provide and improve the DoseIQ service:
- Storing and displaying your dose history and progress data
- Sending dose reminders and notifications you've scheduled
- Processing subscription payments (through Apple's App Store)
- Providing customer support
- Improving app features based on anonymized usage patterns
- Detecting and preventing fraud or abuse
- Complying with legal obligations
We do not use your health data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties. Ever.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your health data is stored primarily on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's encrypted CloudKit framework — we cannot access your iCloud-stored data.
For account features requiring our servers (account management, support), data is stored on servers located in the United States with industry-standard encryption (AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit).
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We take commercially reasonable measures to protect your data, but we cannot guarantee absolute security.
4. Data Retention
- Active accounts: We retain your data as long as your account is active
- Deleted accounts: Account data is deleted within 30 days of account deletion
- Anonymized analytics: May be retained indefinitely in aggregate, anonymized form
- Legal holds: Data may be retained longer if required by law
5. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers: Third parties who help us operate the service (e.g., crash reporting, analytics) who are contractually obligated to protect your data
- Apple: Subscription and payment processing occurs through Apple's App Store
- Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or government authority
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger or acquisition, with appropriate confidentiality protections

6. Your Rights and Choices

- Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data from app Settings → Account → Delete Account
- Portability: Export your dose history in CSV format from the app
- Opt-out: Disable notifications, analytics, or Apple Health sync at any time in app settings

7. Children's Privacy

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:
- Right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share
- Right to delete your personal information
- Right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)

DoseIQ is a tracking and logging tool for informational purposes only. The app and its content do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any peptide, GLP-1, or medication protocol. Do not use DoseIQ as a substitute for professional medical advice.
11. Third-Party Links
The DoseIQ app and website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with any personal information.
